About

What is this?

Guess the Flip is a daily coin flip prediction game. Every day, one coin is flipped. You get one chance — before midnight ET — to call it: heads or tails.

That's it. One pick. One flip. Every day.

The social experiment

A coin flip is 50/50 — pure chance. No strategy, no skill, no edge. And yet people develop streaks, feel unlucky, switch their pick, and start to believe they have a system. That's the experiment.

We're curious what happens when you give people a daily ritual around something completely random. Do streaks motivate? Does a loss sting more than a win feels good? Does playing with friends change anything?

The global stats page is a window into all of it — how people are actually picking, how streaks distribute, how the crowd leans on any given day.

Provably fair

Each flip result comes from drand, a distributed randomness beacon run by independent organizations around the world. The result is not controlled by us and cannot be predicted or manipulated in advance. You can verify every historical flip on the verify page.

Built for fun

There are no prizes, no money, no rankings beyond your own friend group. Just a low-stakes daily habit — a moment to commit to something, then find out if the universe agreed.
